Study Trip to Berlin

Five days in Berlin, the city which became a museum itself due to its history. Different visits were all accompanied by students’ presentations where they explained their work to their colleagues. A guided tour covered and explained the main places, but also hidden locations with particular information were visited. The DDR and the Wall-Museum, as well as the Holocaust Memorial talked directly about Berlin’s dramatic past, while the Hamburger Bahnhof showed a particular current collection of contemporary art. After the intensive visits, a group of year 10 students conceived a special newspaper about the experience and constituted a real editorial staff: some students worked out the graphics, some the photographs and the others wrote and corrected the texts. The result was printed and distributed to parents and pupils of the Swiss School of Milan.
