Postcards

Taking inspiration from Stefano Arientis’ exhibition, the class had visited in the artist’s presence in the Milanese Studio Guenzani, the students first draw landscapes copying the proportions and forms from a postcard. Once having radically simplified the lines of the original picture, the pupils engraved their drawing on a polystyrene board, enlarging its dimension. The results were translucent pictures of a remarkable dimension, which had an impressive effect in the space.
