My World – Cartography

After an introduction with a lot of different examples and a discussion about what we understand the topic of a map and its use includes, the students are invited to draw their own, very personal map. Their elaboration should contain all the places and buildings they usually visit or pass by during their daily life. The idea is to create a sort of ideal orientation map, more than a map which represents the real proportions and distances in a different scale, as if it was a sort of diary in the form of a personal and intimate geography of the physical connections in their every day movements.
