Still Life

Still life, alongside portrait or landscape, is one of the main issues in painting since religious subjects lost their importance in art history. Through nature studies, students train themselves in the observation of apparent color, of light and shade and of the form our eyes really perceive them. Copying forms and color nuances as they appear to our eyes, means to learn precise observation and not to trust, what we mean or think an object is made of.
