Dancing on a Borderline

“Dancing on a Borderline” is part of a video series, which registers excerpts of 5 minutes from daily life with a fix camera. Those video works function as if they were photographs, with the essential difference, that their content is moving slightly. In order to vanish figuration and to become aware of our gaze or to underline the fact that we see a representation of reality, the pictures are elaborated with colored filters.
The double video projection “Dancing on a Borderline” confronts the pictures from the birth of the artist’s first son Dimitri with those from some very slow yoga exercises but talks though about extreme experiences, where the human body reaches the limits of the bearable.

2000
