Landscapes
The Landscape series is a work in progress growing by and by in time and space and reflects the artist’s movements and experiences. The classical genre of landscapes was invented quite late in art history. Only after the liberation of religious content and a narrative level can one find, for instance in still lives or portraits, where Dutch and English painters dared to represent human life alone and as an expression of nature’s force which sometimes escapes human control. The monocrome colored filters evidence and hide the represented subjects at the same time and underline the reflection on the antagonism between form and content, between representation and interpretation of reality.
