Living Texture, Swiss-Scan-Exchange

This work is born as a collective action with all the artists of the studio house Hohlstrasse 208, participating in the artist space “ProjektRaum” in the building. All the artists had been invited by Harm Lux to participate in the Swiss-Scan Exchange project and to think of a collective show at the Saga Basement in Copenhagen. The artists decided to go to Copenhagen with a suitcase each and to enter the exhibition space one hour after the beginning of the opening. The public had drunk a Carlsberg in the empty space by that time. The artists entered in a line with the suitcases in their hands and then played the game “Ich packe in meinen Koffer” (I pack in my suitcase), where all the participants have to remember what the person mentioned before, wanted to put in their suitcase. All the words were written on the wall, in a circle until the overlapping words were no longer legible.
In the end, every artist installed his or her suitcase in the exhibition space.
