The Proud and Unconquered Seminole

The photographs represent two shacks where Seminole Indians are presently living on the Indian Reservations in Florida. What struck Barbara Fässler was the nicely cared for living space, where the inhabitants paid attention to every single detail. The house form of those barracks, though far removed from the original Indian tents, cannot hide the poverty and precariousness of their way of life.
