ArTransit / Performance - Labour 1

Performance Labour 1 and 2 is a polymorphic program, articulated in two episodes: in Viafarini DOCVA (Milan) from the end of September until the beginning of October and at the Zürich University of Arts on 15th November 2014. Here performance is meant as a working field. The project is to understand as a series of investigations where the research through live-moments and social activities look for a reflection about the unspecific and the specific. In its semantic ambivalence, Labour remembers – beside the acoustic affinity with the dimension of laboratory – in its energetic and social structure the term “work”. The chosen projects define different working perspectives in the performance. Thus, performance achieves a pure charge of energy, an efficient control of the body, of a social promotion, which has been defined by immobility and knowledge without effort.
