ProjektRaum
ProjektRaum was an artist-space in Zurich, active in the Nineties and it was part of a studio building with a group of thirteen artists working there. The exhibition space was curated by the group, starting by showing their own work and by and by inviting artists from outside and later on even guest-curators. ProjektRaum has specifically worked on live acts and process events, such as 24 hours during exhibitions which included the production period, vernissage with soup for all the spectators, night bar events with toy highway, lectures about art economy or innovative architecture projects and social experiments (like Kraftwerk – now realized and expanding), or the legendary Rampencafé, a monthly public Sunday brunch with cultural activities like opera or concerts, installations, lectures and others.
Participating artists: Thomas Berger, Susan Büchi, Stephan Ehrenhofer, Barbara Fässler, Fabrice Gygi, Dorothea Hunziker, Thomas Imbach, Robert Ireland, Roswitha Marien, Dina Scagnetti , Claudia Schmid, Helene Sperandio, Hanna Züllig
ProjektRaum had public sustain from Zürich Municipality (Präsidialdepartement der Stadt Zürich), from Kanton Zürich, from the Swiss Confederation and from the Cassinelli-Vogel Stiftung.
